Pier Bucci has clearly established himself as one of the most exciting propositions in electronic music





Crosstown Rebels release ‘Tita’ and ‘L’Nuit’, the first single release from the critically acclaimed ‘Familia’ album by their leading star, Pier Bucci. ‘Familia’ is regarded by many as the electronic album of 2005, it’s a masterpiece.

Pier Bucci is already something of a legend. Much has been written about the recent emergence of Chile as an unexpected source of cutting edge electronica. Bucci, and fellow countrymen Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano are producing some of the finest and most original electronic music in the world at the moment.

‘Tita’ is the opening track off Pier’s album and it’s the perfect way to start the beautiful journey that is ‘Familia’. A simply wonderful piece of deep and melodic music featuring vocals from Armelle Pioline. Another artist to emerge from the Chilean revolution is Dandy Jack who has taken on the remix duty in fine form. A hypnotising groove to say the least!

‘L’Nuit’ is a real power. The haunting vocals, also by Armelle Pioline, give it a very trippy atmosphere, with glitchy sharp beats leading the way up to the drop, when the music equivalent of devastation kicks in. A killer. The remix is another extremely high quality production that we’ve come to expect from Dominik Eulberg. He uses the parts perfectly and creates a brilliant alternative.
