It’s hard to believe that four years have passed since DJ T, Booka Shade and M.A.N.D.Y came together to set up the Get Physical label. Founded at a time when house had disappeared down the tribal progressive cul-de-sac and the most prominent techno producers were pursuing an increasingly one-dimensional loop sound, Get Physical provided a fresh perspective on electronic music. Drawing from the emerging minimal sound, looking back to classic trance and forward with futuristic electro influences, these disparate influences were fused by Booka Shade’s studio alchemy to create something new, fresh and daring.
